THE AIM OF THE DEPARTMENT
  • to qualify bachelor students in Study programme of  Inovative Production Engineering, advanced creators of production engineering products, who will be able to improve the product or create entirely the new one, to apply the latest scientific and technological achievements, having good skills of product design, modern materials, production technologies and machines, to use modern software, hardware and information technologies as well. Graduates will be able to link professional skills with basics of business and management, will have good knowledge of manufacture principles of product, will be able to analise technical characteristics of product in order to put it on the market, to collaborate with specialists from various technical fields communicating in native or in a foreign language as well, improve and update their skills and knowledge constantly.
  • to qualify master students of manufacturing engineering in Study programme of the Materials and Welding Engineering , future production organizers and leaders who will be able to ensure product quality and advanced technological processes for effective implementation, to accept the challenges in industrial engineering, analyse and solve them professionally applying the latest scientific and technological achievements, analyze and evaluate materials and joining technology engineering parameters, to carry out the experimental researches,  to accept the ethical and socially responsible decisions.
  • Graduates from Industrial Engineering and Innovation Management program have the possible to extend studies in doctoral programs of technological and social sciences.

    Laboratory of Materials Science and Welding was established together with department in 1961. This laboratory was dedicated for the study and research. When the laboratory themes of the works has expanded, it was to create additional subdivisions:
